Hey, Guys? Girls Talk.

Outside of my escorting work, I get a lot of guys approaching me for sex. I’m not saying this to brag; it’s just reality. If you’re a woman and you work in SL porn, or you spend time in adult sims, or you’re a member of adult-themed groups, guys will (not unreasonably!) assume that you’re interested and available.

Which, fine! While it can be a little irritating, sometimes, to have guys trying to chat you up while you’re busy with other things, I always try to remind myself that this is the Second Life I’ve chosen, and that how I react to this kind of attention — whether to get annoyed by it or to treat it as a form of flattery — is ultimately up to me.

There is one thing that all would-be Casanovas should understand, though: girls talk. If you’re coming onto me at one of the porn community’s parties, for example, chances are that I’m comparing notes with my girlfriends. If one of them tells me that you were a huge jackass to her, or if we discover that you’re trying to flirt with a half-dozen of us at once using the same lines, things are probably not going to go the way you hoped. On the other hand, if one of my girlfriends tells me that you’re a gifted writer with a sexy-as-hell avatar, you might well find me flirting hard right back at you.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that it’s easy to develop the wrong kind of reputation, so be careful in how you act.
